It appears that a recent post update on the
“Memories, Comments and Questions” page, in which Abraham and Esther Lewis were mentioned, stirred some controversy. So, was Esther Lewis from Manchester or Liverpool? Does the answer matter?
Below is a letter from her and Abraham to Mary and Alf that was written on the occasion of the latter’s marriage in August 1940. Interesting reading. It even gives us Esther and Abraham's Port Elizabeth address - 30 Clevedon Road. Now, this is truly important.
